The Nuclear Energy Conference 2015 is a continuation of the Nuclear Energy Conference, which took place in Prague in 2014 and which dealt with the economic limits of nuclear power. Since last year there have been increasing signals that nuclear power is at an end. Leading energy companies report that they are withdrawing from nuclear power and want to rely more on renewable energies. Nuclear expansion plans are stalling, the share of nuclear power in Europe is falling continuously.
We therefore want to take a utopian / realistic look into the near future: Europe has withdrawn from nuclear power. What does the energy future of Europe look like? What scenarios are there for selected countries? And how did the countries manage to overcome nuclear power?
